Kalido Reduces TCO with Latest Release of Kalido Information Engine
August 19, 2008 - Kalido, an active information management company, unveiled a new release of the core components of the Kalido Information Engine. The new release includes enhancements that deliver significant cost and resource savings, while providing better information to more business users.
Kalido in virtualized environments allows customers to: outsource maintenance and administration; manage kalido remotely; and more efficiently use their computer resources.
With this release, Kalido will support the ability to run multiple Kalido instances within a single Oracle database, optimizing the number of databases companies need to purchase and maintain.
Productivity enhancements to the data stewardship and governance functions, such as the ability to validate a subset of master data, rather than the entire category, delivers simpler, more streamlined processing, saving resources and time.
Kalido now supports 64-bit databases, enabling users to take advantage of greater processing power and throughput that such systems provide. Additionally, changes to the Kalido Business Information Modeler deliver greater information at the top level, enabling business users to more quickly and easily identify, change and expand details about their business model.
Other enhancements include, enhanced management capabilities, increased system availability, native BI tool support, QlikTech integration and Microsoft BI integration.
