June 27, 2008 - Sun Microsystems Inc announced the immediate availability of a new offering to help customers achieve greater return on investment and reduce the costs of deploying and managing database and application server software.
Sun GlassFish and MySQL Unlimited enables companies of all sizes to deploy the software on unlimited servers across their entire organization for a flat annual subscription.
GlassFish is an open source application server. MySQL is an open source database software. Many organizations use MySQL to save time and money powering their high-volume Web sites, critical business systems and packaged software, according to Sun Microsystems.
