WiseAnalytics Launches Survey on BI for the Midmarket
May 7, 2008 - BI industry research/analyst firm, WiseAnalytics is conducting a survey on business intelligence (BI) within small and midsized (SMB) companies.
This independent industry survey will collect information to assess how vendors are meeting the unique needs and business challenges of the midmarket.
Questions cover issues such as the current range of deployment options from on-demand/software as a service (SaaS) to on-premise, and the factors that are influencing a BI implementation. Overall, the research survey will explore how SMB organizations are using BI, which vendors stand out and to what degree BI vendors appear to support the unique requirements of this growing market segment.
The BI market is expanding to include more offerings targeted to the midmarket, but theres still the question of whether the issues faced by these organizations are really being addressed by solution providers due to the great diversity of needs from small and midsized companies, says Lyndsay Wise, president of WiseAnalytics. The survey is intended to give midmarket organizations a voice in identifying whether vendors are really meeting the requirements of these organizations, how to bridge gaps and whether the assumptions made about how BI will be put to use matches the expectations of small and mid-sized organizations.
Organizations currently using BI or considering BI implementation are invited to share their views by participating in the BI for Mid-Market survey now open and running until June 15th. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the results summary report to be published August 1st.
